Adopt a Trail

In cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service-Truckee Ranger District, TTF is offering the opportunities for local individuals, families, and businesses to help play an active role in the stewardship of our non-motorized trails. All participants will receive benefits as outlined in the specific adoption agreements below.

Trail Adopter

Individuals, groups, or businesses can choose to formally adopt a particular trail or trail segment and conducts basic maintenance on the adopted trail two times per season.

Trailhead Adopter

For folks interested in helping out but don’t have time to maintain a trail, adopting a trailhead may be a more manageable (and much needed!) option. For more information, see the form below.

Trail Scouter

If you have a certain trail you visit regularly throughout the season, being a Trail Scouter is another way to help out. Here, the goal is to report back to TTF’s crew any maintenance needs for your trail.
