Western States Trail


Western States Trail- The Truckee Ranger District houses the beginning 12 (look this up) miles of this historic 100 mile trail.  You will often see mountain bikers, hikers and equestrians use this section from Robie Park to Squaw Valley’s Emigrant Pass/Watson Monument and into the Granite Chief Wilderness. A popular ride for mountain bikers is the connecter trail OTB then turning left (south) on the western states trail and continuing onto the section known as 3 bridges which eventually leads you down to hwy 89. 

Difficulty-Moderate 

Directions- Robie Park is located on the FS 06 Road, approximately 8 miles from downtown Truckee. Traveling up the 06 road is bumpy, slow, and is not suitable for passenger cars.
