Warren Lake Trail

Warren Lake Trail- Expect to be Wowed on this strenuous yet breathtaking hike. This 7 mile trail will take past the intersection of Summit Lake trail, Donner Lake Rim Trail, Frog Lake overlook, the backside of Castle Peak, and down to the hidden gem, Warren Lake. You won’t be disappointed and you’re going to wish you brought your swimsuit because this lake is refreshing on a hot summer day.

Difficulty-Hard, due to strenuous elevation gain/loss.

Directions-Park at the PCT trailhead on I80 Donner Summit, walk on the PCT for approximately 1 mile, turn right at the intersection and follow signs to Summit Lake, once you reach the intersection for Donner Lake Rim trail and Summit Lake, go straight to begin ascending to Frog Lake overlook and Warren Lake. You will hit an exposed saddle where you will turn right to go to the overlook or Straight to continue onto Warren Lake.
