OTB

Over The Bars is a short 1.7 mile fast flowy bermed trail connecting the fiberboard freeway to the Western States Trail.  In the summer of 2019, the Truckee Trails crew and several volunteers re-shaped all of the paver turns on this trail and it now rides fast and fun. Get ready for your cheeks to hurt as you will smile, hoot, and holler all the way down this trail.

*More Options*

  1. Park a car at the bottom of OTB and shuttle back to the top, this trail is best ridden downhill.
  2. Plan ahead and continue onto the western states trail by turning left once you hit the end of the trail.
  3. Turn right on the road/western states trail for aprox .5 miles, then look for a trail on the left, Deer Creek trail; although fast and technical it is stunning all the way to hwy 89.

Difficulty– Moderate

Directions-Turn onto the Fiberboard Freeway off of hwy 267. Continue on the paved road for approximately 7miles. You will pass the road to Watson Lake and the FS 06 road, the trailhead is a large parking area on the right.
