Truckee Trails Foundation Celebrates 2021 Accomplishments

We at TTF are passionate about bringing you the best trail experiences possible by building new trails, maintaining existing trails, and working with local and regional partners to envision and implement a community sustainably connected by trails and bikeways. Check us out!

2021 Trail Building Accomplishments

  • 1.4-miles wheelchair accessible walking path, “Ridgeline Nature Loop”
  • .6-mile intermediate/advanced “Wood Splitter” mountain biking jump trail
  • New, 4-mile “Happier Face” uphill/downhill trail
  • 1-mile “Gentle Jeffrey” non-motorized trail (parallels the 06 Road)

2021 Trail Maintenance Accomplishments

  • 90 miles of trail maintained
  • 55 trees removed from across trails
  • 12 new trailhead & wayfinding signs installed

2022 Plans (if fundraising goals are met)

  • Bald Mountain connector trails
  • Beginner mountain bike skills loop at the Sawtooth Trailhead
  • 5-mile Waddle Ranch loop
  • 180 miles of trail maintenance, including major maintenance on the PCT
  • Completion of environmental studies for the Pines to Mines Trail, slated to connectTruckee with Nevada City (construction will begin in 2023 if funded!)
