Tom moved to Truckee with his wife and daughter in 2020 after realizing that all of their favorite family photos were taken here. He started mountain biking in 1990, and while he hasn’t improved much since about 1995, he still spends as much time as possible chasing dirt. Tom also enjoys teaching kids to mountain bike, and has been a local youth coach for several years. He considers our local trails to be the best anywhere, and spends an enormous amount of time in the Sawtooth area in particular, exploring by foot, bike, and ski. His desire to work with TTF stems from all the work that they have done around Sawtooth and elsewhere, and his favorite TTF-managed trails include Big Chief, Happy Face, and Hole in the Ground.
