With environmental review completed in December of 2020, construction of the the long-awaited Martis Valley bike path to Northstar will be resuming this summer. The 10.2-mile paved pathway will connect the Town of Truckee through Martis Valley and Northstar Village and up to the Brockway Summit. Ultimately, this project will be part of the Resort Triangle Trail, which, when complete, will connect the communities of Kings Beach, Tahoe City, Olympic Valley, Truckee, Martis Valley and Northstar in an epic loop that has the potentially to dramatically enhance both recreation and alternative transportation opportunities in the region. TTF is grateful Northstar Community Services District General Manager Mike Staudenmayer for his never-ending patience in seeing this project through.

Placer County estimates that the trail from the Martis Creek Lake Recreation Area to Northstar Drive will be approximately $8 million. The project will be funded by federal, state, and local grant programs.
