Hi,
I'm looking at the bridge today with the Forest Service. Current thought is to do a minor reroute and build an armored shallow stream ford as opposed to a new bridge. This would be more durable and appropriate in such a small drainage. We'll need to make sure there are not archaeological concerns (maybe that's why it was spanned). I'm not sure if it is wet avalanches or wind-loaded winter snow, but this bridge is in a problematic location...

Looks like the bridge could go any time, earliest tomorrow, more likely next winter, but then, what do I know either? Wouldn't want to be on it when it happens, that's for sure.
