2011 Trail Work Update
2011 was a busy year for trail maintenance in the Truckee/North Tahoe Area. Through Gooddirtyfun, 15 miles of trail were maintained, largely the Donner Lake Rim Trail, Waddle Ranch Trails, and some trails on the US Army Corp’s Martis Valley Recreation Area. These trails were all volunteer maintained. In addition, The USFS received over $60,000 in grants to do much-needed maintenance on the Hole-in-the-Ground and Palisades Creek trails in 2011!!! Lastly, Bob Holland from the Forest Service updated me on the list of work they’ve completed, which is really extensive.
